  • Mountain restaurant Marmorbruch

    The Marmorbruch mountain restaurant is located approx. 3.5 km outside the village centre of Grindelwald at 1120 m above sea level at the former demolition site of the Marmorbruch and is the lowest-lying mountain inn in Grindelwald. It can be reached on foot on the hiking trail from Pfingstegg in the direction of the glacier gorge in approx. 1 hour.

  • Berghaus Bäregg

    Reachable from the mountain station of the cable car in 1.5 hours. A young, dynamic landlady, Conny, is waiting to welcome you with fresh food in a relaxed atmosphere. You can also stay overnight at the Bäregg.

  • Schreckhorn hut SAC

    Reachable from the mountain station of the cable car in 4.5 hours for experienced hikers. The Schreckhorn hut, which is run by Urban Hüsler, is the starting point for climbing various peaks (Schreckhorn, Lauteraarhorn, Strahlegghorn etc.). As a cosy SAC hut, the Schreckhorn hut offers 30 beds and of course cosy hut evenings.

  • Glecksteinhütte SAC

    Reachable from the mountain station of the cable car in 3.5 hours for experienced hikers. The Glecksteinhütte, which is run by the Sager family, is the starting point for climbing various peaks, has a launch site for paragliders and is of course happy to host overnight stays and culinary delights.

Travelling to the Pfingstegg cablecar

  • Pfingstegg Parking

    The valley station of the Pfingstegg cable car is located on the southern edge of the village of Grindelwald and can be easily reached on foot in about 15 minutes from the train station. For guests arriving by public transport, the bus stop “Grindelwald, Pfingsteggbahn” is located right next to the valley station. Visitors arriving by car will find public parking spaces nearby.   • Public Transportation

    The Pfingstegg cable car is easily accessible by public bus from Grindelwald train station – the ride takes only about 5 minutes. Buses run regularly every 15 to 30 minutes. Get off at the “Grindelwald, Pfingsteggbahn” stop, located right next to the valley station. Perfect for a stress-free journey without a car!

  • Park+Ride Grindelwald Terminal

    Additional parking spaces are available at the Grindelwald Terminal car park. With your parking ticket, you can use the public bus to and from the Pfingstegg cable car free of charge. The bus connects the terminal with the village center, the train station, and the valley station of the Pfingstegg cable car – ideal for a relaxed arrival without the hassle of searching for parking in the village.
