Toboggan

Enjoy a speedy ride through lush alpine meadows on our toboggan run, which is located behind the mountain station of the cable car.

The toboggan run leads around 725 metres down the mountain and brings you back to the start with a return lift. This leisure facility guarantees fun for young and old. Please note that the toboggan run and the Fly-Line can only be reached by cable car or an hour's walk. You can buy your tickets directly on site and do not need to make a reservation in advance.

The toboggan run and fly-line can only be reached by cable car or an hour's walk. Tickets can be purchased directly on site. In rainy or wet weather, the toboggan run is closed for safety reasons.

Groups of 10 people or more

For groups of 10 or more, we recommend making a reservation. Please complete the group form on our website. We will be happy to create a customized package offer for you. Our team is also available outside the regular opening hours of the toboggan run! Please note that during regular opening hours, waiting times may occur due to high visitor numbers.

The use of the toboggan run is not permitted for children under the age of 4.

Group Reservation

Rules

  • Use of the toboggan run is at your own risk.

  • No persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be transported.

  • Our employees may exclude someone from the journey at their own discretion.

  • In wet conditions, operation must be stopped immediately for safety reasons. There is no entitlement to a refund!

  • Children between the ages of 4 and 7 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • The sledges are all designed for 2 people. However, the price is per person and not per sledge.

  • Do not stop in the lane.

  • Cameras, mobile phones and bags are prohibited to take on the run.

  • Always keep your hands and feet inside the sledge - do not touch the track. There is a serious risk of burns.

  • By purchasing a ticket, each user recognises these terms of use and undertakes to have familiarised themselves with them by means of the safety board at the start.

  • By purchasing a ticket, each user recognises the General Terms and Conditions of the Grindelwald-Pfingstegg AG cable car.

Travelling to the Pfingstegg cablecar

  • Pfingstegg Parking

    The valley station of the Pfingstegg cable car is located on the southern edge of the village of Grindelwald and can be easily reached on foot in about 15 minutes from the train station. For guests arriving by public transport, the bus stop “Grindelwald, Pfingsteggbahn” is located right next to the valley station. Visitors arriving by car will find public parking spaces nearby. For navigation systems: Rybigässli 25, 3818 Grindelwald.

  • Public Transportation

    The Pfingstegg cable car is easily accessible by public bus from Grindelwald train station – the ride takes only about 5 minutes. Buses run regularly every 15 to 30 minutes. Get off at the “Grindelwald, Pfingsteggbahn” stop, located right next to the valley station. Perfect for a stress-free journey without a car!

  • Park+Ride Grindelwald Terminal

    Additional parking spaces are available at the Grindelwald Terminal car park. With your parking ticket, you can use the public bus to and from the Pfingstegg cable car free of charge. The bus connects the terminal with the village center, the train station, and the valley station of the Pfingstegg cable car – ideal for a relaxed arrival without the hassle of searching for parking in the village.
